This 47″ forged steel 4″ drop I beam front axle is designed for use with 1937-48 Ford spindles and 2 1/4″ wishbones or batwings. The 47″ center to center king pin boss is designed with a 34″ perch spacing to accommodate the narrow 29 1/4″ spring (also available on our store) . A wider 48″ axle with the 36 1/2″ perch boss spacing is also available on this store (search “I-beam” in the search box to see all options). These axles are manufactured as 1 piece forged steel with a 1045 heat treat for maximum strength and come reamed for proper king pin fitment. This axle is also available undrilled on this store.
